ISPD Membership Categories
The membership of this Society shall be composed of charter, active, life, life retired, honorary and student members as well as affiliate and associate members. All members shall be licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Indiana, shall hold active membership in good standing in their local and State Dental Society, American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and shall be of good moral character and of satisfactory ethical standing.
Active
An applicant for Active membership shall be a member of or an applicant to the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; he/she shall either be in practice, dental administration, teaching, research in the State of Indiana.
Affiliate/Associate
These members are non-pediatric dentists residing in Indiana whose interests are consistent with the mission of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Associate members may not use the Academy name, membership status or logo, nor imply special expertise or training in pediatric dentistry.
Retired
This member has the same opportunities as an active member but does not pay dues. The member must have been an active member in the past and is now currently retired from the practice or teaching of pediatric dentistry.
Dues
Active, associate and affiliate member annual dues are $150.

Annual Meetings
As well as for their ability to promote group interaction and camaraderie, these meetings offer fellow members the opportunity to gain scientific information, latest clinical techniques, practice management information, policy-making involvement for the specialty, and fellowship with fellow colleagues.
- Business Meeting: The Annual Business Meeting provides an opportunity for the officers and chairpersons to report the latest state and national policy-making developments of the society.
- Scientific Program: Topics are chosen to reflect the latest clinical techniques and practice management information. Nationally renowned speakers share their knowledge and insights. Current research performed by the residents of the Indiana graduate pediatric dentistry program is presented.
- Social and Recreational: Events will be planned to reconnect old colleagues and introduce the next generations of pediatric dentists.
- Continuing Education: Members have access to continuing education courses geared toward the practicing pediatric dentist. ISPD also offers a Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification course every other year.
